At SMS we are committed to giving you the tools you need in order to achieve your goals. With that professional focus in mind, we currently offer private instruction, group classes, and support services from these outstanding teachers/practitioners.

Mr. David Sabella-Mills

Professional / Adult, and Junior Division Classes offered*
   *Division status is based on maturity of student, proficiency and goals.

 

Professional / Adult Division - Students exhibit exemplary, professional vocal quality and have professional goals with their voice. Or, are highly committed avocational adult  singers looking to advance their vocal and performance techniques for non-professional reasons. These classes deliver advanced technical study and repertoire coaching for those on a professional, pre-professional, or avocational track. (General age range 15 +, exceptions made for younger students on a professional track)

Junior Division - Students exhibit a love of singing and may or may not have professional goals with their voice. These classes deliver the same type of high quality instruction as in the Professional / Adult Division, in an age appropriate, safe atmosphere of fun and encouragement. They are also shorter in duration to accommodate age appropriate attention spans, and prepare the student for Professional / Adult Division Study. (General age range 6 - 14, students on a professional track may be promoted to the Professional / Adult Division)

Professional / Adult Division:
60 Minute Private Lesson in Vocal Technique and Performance - $90.00** 
45 Minute Private Lesson in Vocal Technique and Performance - $75.00**

Junior Division:
45 Minute Private Voice/Music Lesson - $65.00**
30 Minute Private Voice/Music Lesson - $50.00**
 
**Additional Fees:
3.5% INTERNET Credit Card  transaction fee on all CC payments
NYC Studio Rental Surcharge (SRS) - $10.00 per lesson, all NYC lessons
Music Copying Fee - $2.00 per song copied (5 page max.)

Group Classes


Musical Theater Audition/Performance Workshop
This 6 week class focuses on finding appropriate audition repertoire for each singer and honing their craft for both audition and performance. The class ends with a open audition for a professional casting agent and/or stage director.

This class runs for 6 weeks (5 weeks of class, 6th week audition) at Ripley Grier Studios (520 8th Avenue). $450.00 for 7 weeks, Pianist Provided. Maximum enrollment 10 Students. Register for this class online Or, call David Sabella-Mills at 917.374.5868

Musical Theater Audition/Performance Workshop

"Dance in the style of..."
This innovative dance class runs for 6 weeks (next run TBA).  Each class will be taught by a different Broadway Dance Captain, (and/or dancer in a Broadway show). During each class the relevant audition combinations from each Broadway show covered will be taught in a no pressure setting for both singers who move, moderate and even monster dancers. This will allow you to walk into your next dance audition with some familiarity to the material, and therefore have more confidence. Possible shows covered: Hairspray, The Little Mermaid, Gypsy, Guys and Dolls, Sweet Charity, Chicago, Mamma Mia, Footlose, Wicked, A Dancer's Life.
